The Owl’s Nest

This rambler built in the 1950’s was in need of modernization for a family with growing children.

The low ceilings were removed to reveal the vaulted roof, which gave a sense of spaciousness without adding square footage. The demising walls were removed and storage cabinets were built thoughtfully instead to organize each space, while circulating light and passage from one to the next. The kitchen was designed to fit the culinary needs of the client who is an avid cook. The primary suite added on the rooftop is nestled within surrounding trees, a rejuvenating view at the end of a busy day.
