1884 Loft

The attic level of this 1884 Victorian home was converted into a whole-floor primary suite. The existing ceiling was carved out for an open staircase that not only lets the light in, but also gives an airiness to the space and gently joins the attic level to the rest of the house. Simplified profiles of the original architectural details were added in the new rooms in order to carry consistency throughout the house while further rendering the space with cleaner, simpler lines.
